Home > Attaching Documents

All of FMDepartment.com's forms include a "Documents" button. Easily attach photos, emails, PDF's or any other file type to people, places and assets in the database.
When attaching a document, a File Browser window will let you select a file from your computer. A copy of the file will be uploaded automatically to your database on our servers, allowing your other users to access the document.
FMDepartment.com compresses the file for storage, encrypts it for security and transmits it as a data stream. This means your IT department will not have to reduce firewall security to allow for file transfers.
When editing information in forms the "Documents" button will indicate the number of attachments. Click on the button to display an attachment list and open files.
Files will be opened by applications on your PC. So clicking on an attached Word doc will launch Microsoft Word and open the file (assuming Word is installed on your computer).
